Project Summary

Create a simple and straight-forward political campaign website design that is highly informative, easy to navigate, and showcases the vast experience and professionalism that the client brings to the table.

Website Design & Development:

Building my first political campaign website was a lot of fun. Tom and his campaign committee were looking for a quick build that was clean, modern, and simple to navigate. The website needed to be mobile-friendly (responsive), and because Tom has a love and background in civil engineering, he wanted to ensure the website had clean lines and was symmetric throughout.

One of the biggest challenges I face as a Web Developer is gathering content from my clients. Many of my customers know their business and know it well, or know what they stand for, but often times the information is still in their head and not on paper. For small business owners and community leaders that are already busy, the process of drafting website content can be time-consuming and overwhelming. Fortunately, Tom and his campaign committee were well organized and were able to get their content to me quickly, and thus, the project was completed quickly.

For a variety of reasons I typically resist building one-page websites, but due to the amount of content that the campaign wanted online and that the website is temporary, it was a good fit. The benefit of a single page website design is that it makes it easy for visitors to quickly consume all of the information on the website with minimal clicks.

Tom is happy with the way the website turned out, and I'm confident that his website visitors can quickly get a snapshot of his campaign!
